BEES PLZ is a grassroots business with local owners, employees, and volunteers.

BEES PLZ was created to address a global crisis on a very local level. The products, programs, and efforts of BEES PLZ address global issues such as Africanization of honeybees, food crop pollination, bee species preservation, forest and fauna proliferation. It seems that these are lofty goals and aspirations but they can each be addressed through specific activities here in Sarpy, Douglas, and Cass counties. Doing our part locally when joined by others through our promotional and informational efforts, IS OUR GLOBAL CONTRIBUTION!

BEES PLZ beekeepers perpetuate bee colonies throughout the community for the benefit of the community. Currently, we keep honeybees in western Sarpy County. Our goal for expansion includes more colonies in Sarpy as well as Douglas counties in East Central Nebraska. We are also working very hard to increase the local honeybee population through our Hive Sponsorship Program, which helps educate non-beekeepers about what it’s like to keep bees. We provide, all the equipment, expertise and time to educate non-beekeepers and promote awareness of the plight of the honey bee. Hive Sponsorships will be available for placement in Spring (April) 2019.

We do a lot for the community and for honey bees, please show your appreciation and help us out through support with a Pollination Donation. If you can donate $1 or $500, any amount will help. A lot of volunteer work and money goes into our beekeeping operation benefiting the community as well as maintaining this website. 

The financial investments include sourcing bees, their supplies and equipment, creating appropriate forage environments, general beekeeping duties, the cost of traveling to and from Hive Sponsorship and Pollination Donation locations, attending beekeeping events within the community and across the country, plus photographing, writing and sharing valuable beekeeping information with our readers. 

Your Pollination Donation will allow us to provide the community and you with important beekeeping services and information in the future. Your money will go toward saving honey bees, increasing the local beekeeping population, creating healthy bee forage environments, education furthering the understanding of honeybees and beekeeping for backyard beekeepers.
